Sandra Scott
Vice President of Compliance
Sandra Scott is Vice President of Trade Compliance for TradeMerit Corporation a leading provider of on-demand Supply Chain Visibility and Response services. Drawing on her over 25 years experience in Customs and Trade Compliance, she provides development, management and implementation of TradeMerit’s compliance strategy, programs and related services to clients throughout the global supply chain.
Ms Scott continues to play an integral part in the design and development of the many Customs initiatives, offering her objective advice and deep knowledge of the many business processes as it relates to regulatory compliance. She combines these with a special interest in Supply Chain Security to assist clients towards complying with trade laws and regulations.
Ms. Scott was appointed to serve two terms (2001-2004) of U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Treasury Department Commercial Operations Advisory Committee (COAC). During her tenure Ms. Scott participated in developing the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) guidelines; Free and Secure Trade (FAST) Program; Trade Act of 2002 compliance measures; and the FDA’s Bioterrorism Act implementation.
In addition, under Sandra’s leadership in 2000 Roadway Express Inc. received the prestigious Vice President Gore’s Hammer Award for public-private partnership.
Ms Scott is a member of the American Association of Exporters & Importers and Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, Inc. and serves on both boards of directors. She also is a member of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Automated Commercial Environment Trade Support Network and Trade Leadership Council. In addition, she serves as the co-chair of the International Trade Data System Committee.
