Wael Aggan
President & CEO

Wael Aggan is the president & CEO of TradeMerit Corporation. Wael was the co-founder and CEO of ViaSafe Inc, and the senior VP of Descartes System Group. He worked in the hi-tech arena for more than 30 years, making a contribution to several companies and organization around the world. Within Canada, Mr. Aggan worked as a senior Technology Architect with organizations such as Treasury Board, Toronto Dominion Bank, Bank of Canada, and Canada Customs. Internationally, Wael worked as a senior Information expert with the United Nations, and he managed projects in different countries such as Spain, Egypt, England and France. Mr. Aggan has degrees in pure mathematics, engineering and operations research.

Tarek El-Gillani
Vice President of Technology

Tarek El-Gillani was a co-founder and CTO of ViaSafe before being acquired by Descartes System Group. He brings in extensive expertise in Software As A Service strategy and implementation. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer and Systems Engineering.

Sami Al-hussieni
Vice President of Finance & Administration

Mr. Al-hussieni is VP, Finance and Admin of TradeMerit Corp. Mr. Al-hussieni served as the Cross Boarder Services Director with Descartes System Group running a managed service centre for cross boarder transaction for highway carriers. The position was a transition and handover phase after the successful sale of ViaSafe Inc. to Descartes System Group. Mr. Al-hussieni was an elemental member of the team to found, build and eventually the sale of ViaSafe Inc. Mr. Al-hussieni was the VP, Finance and Admin at ViaSafe overlooking the financing activities and company performance measurement. Mr. Al-hussieni has a Masters of Management Science degree from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce.

Paul C. Labarge
Senior Partner: Labarge Weinstein LLP

Paul is a founding partner of LaBarge Weinstein and an active participant in the local high technology sector. Paul has been very actively involved in the high tech sector in Ottawa since the early 1980's with the acquisition of Mitel by British Telecom. His practice has included financings of all types of enterprises from pulp and paper mills to satellites, major technology acquisitions (e.g. WordPerfect from Novell, Inc.), and corporate acquisitions and divestitures.Paul concentrates his practice in taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and trade law.

Mario Venditti
Director of Services

Mario Venditti is Director of Services for TradeMerit Corporation, a leading provider of on-demand Supply Chain Visibility and Response services. TradeMerit headquarters is located in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and their U.S. office is in Boston, MA, USA. Drawing on over 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Process Improvement and Design, Mario Venditti provides development, management and implementation of TradeMerit’s Supply Chain strategy, programs and related services to clients throughout the global supply chain.

Mr. Venditti has worked upon various supply chain projects providing analysis and leadership depending on the requirements of the client and the project. Mr Venditti’s areas of expertise include Process mapping and improvement, Supply Chain strategy and Asset utilization optimization. Within TradeMerit, he continues to provide to clients objective analysis of their needs and the expertise that is required to bring about the changes necessary in order to meet today’s business challenges. Mr. Venditti’s special interest is in Supply Chain Landed Cost modelling and using the model to assist clients in analysing how decisions made within one business function may impact the entire organization.
